Image Junkyard 1, Week 2

Poppies melt in red wax along the tracks all the way South to Naples. Laundry wilts from the motel-grade cement on cement of these cities made narrow by the sea and the rippling mountains, ancient clouds turned stone in the moment of puncture. So many white sheets, unmoving as the train grabs dust and air and plunges away, like white flags.
